Many of the Myrtle Beach golf courses in South Carolina had received a reputation for being quite exclusive and private for members only. Several non members found it difficult to golf at Myrtle Beach's courses and resorts, and they would prefer to golf at other courses across the United States such as Orlando golf courses.
Nevertheless, times have changed and Myrtle Beach tee times are becoming accessible to more people. In response to the recent tough economic times, many Myrtle Beach golf courses have reduced their initiation fees and dues in order to attract more members. There's also been an increase in the types of memberships available so that people area attracted to join at different price points, including cheaper membership types. Many of the private and semi private golf clubs at Myrtle Beach have even opened their gates to permit a small amount of non members for outside play.
